Herb Dittrick is the broker and he and his wife LaVonne Vojak are the owners of Orange County Realty Co., a locally owned South Orange County real estate brokerage firm which has successfully closed hundreds of transactions throughout the area, particularly in Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Laguna Niguel. LaVonne and Herb enjoy a local reputation as the “go-to” realtor in the south Orange County communities they serve most, but they’ve also sold homes in Riverside and San Diego counties.                                       

LaVonne and Herb are known for their wide-ranging knowledge of the south Orange County real estate market and their careful attention to each and every detail of a property sale or purchase. But what really differentiates them from other OC realtors is their absolute insistence upon direct “broker-to-client” service and communication throughout the entire real estate transaction.

Herb puts it this way, “At Orange County Realty Co., we don’t delegate the important details of your property sale or purchase to less-experienced assistants. You can count on LaVonne or me to personally quarterback your transaction every step of the way.”

With a combined total of over 40 years of real estate experience between them, LaVonne and Herb have weathered the extremes of the real estate market. Herb, a seasoned veteran of the residential investment market, has sold over 2,000 units—from duplexes to apartment complexes of 100 units or more. When LaVonne became a full-time realtor in the late nineties, they expanded the business to include the residential housing market. In addition to handling standard residential transactions, LaVonne is a certified HAFA and Short Sale expert and well-recognized for her knowledge and experience helping clients understand the complex foreclosure market, and the challenges and benefits of pursuing a short-sale selling strategy.

As Orange County Realty Co. has expanded through “fat and lean” California market conditions, LaVonne and Herb have stayed true to their unique highly personalized “broker-to-client” approach. On the personal side, Herb, a New Jersey native, attended Farleigh Dickenson University and served in the US Army. After migrating to the Bay Area, he attended San Francisco Law School before joining a prominent manufacturer’s representative company. He became vice president and national sales manager, and helped launch national test markets and marketing campaigns. When Herb obtained his real estate license in 1977, he found real estate sales the perfect fit for the sophisticated sales, marketing, and negotiating skills he honed earlier in his career. And he’s never looked back.

As for LaVonne, she’s an Iowan, but has resided in southern California since the early eighties. She has a BA in Exercise Physiology from Chapman University, owned and operated a health club, and created and was featured in her own cable TV fitness program. Later, she was Fitness Consultant at Taco Bell Corporate Headquarters in Irvine, CA, where she was provided health and fitness programs to their employees.  Still a fitness “junkie,” LaVonne enjoys the challenges of hiking Mt. Whitney and the Grand Canyon. She believes that, “self-discipline and perseverance are essential to a happy, healthy personal life and her success in the real estate business.”

When not working for clients or working out, LaVonne and Herb spend as much time as possible with their daughters. Elizabeth is a teacher, and Natalie is a student at Cal State Fullerton pursuing a degree in psychology.  Herb works as a volunteer for South County Outreach, and he and LaVonne provide food and clothing drives for the homeless.
